1. Start at the nape of the neck . With hair between the iron plates slide down the shaft curving up on the ends. |
2. Working in sections, move up the back smoothing and fliping the ends - guiding the hair between the iron plates. |
3.To add volume, slide the hair between the iron plates moving in an arc -up, out then under- curving the ends under. |
4.Continue lifting and curving the hair under while sliding the iron down the shaft. Surround Heating will enable the hair to bend in a soft curl. |
5. While working around the face, place a comb under the hair (and iron) to protect the skin and guide the hair. |
6. Use the iron as you would set with a round brush - overdirect forward and then arc up and under for lift at the crown. |
7. To smooth and collapse the fringe area, slide the hair through the plates at a low elevation without lift. |
8. Previous to the finishing & styling- you can see the pattern of the set from all of the sectioned areas - looks like you just took out hair rollers! |
